Lesson 1 of 8
In Progress

Different ways of filtering objects

In this new series of lessons we will see how to prepare the models to use them efficiently.

This first video shows the different ways of filtering the objects.

Let’s take the example of the LED spotlights.

We already saw that filters can be applied and combined to isolate the objects.

However it is sometimes difficult to know in advance which one to use given the high number of filters available in the federated model.

Another option is to right-click on the object.

The shortcut in the menu allows us to filter the same type of objects.

For a more exhaustive list of options, we can also rely on the object’s information to filter any of those properties.

For distinguishing the objects in zones we use rectangular selection boxes.

The objects within the rectangle are filtered.

By holding SHIFT while drawing the rectangle we hide the objects.

The last possibility to isolate or hide  is to select one or several objects.

This allows fine selections of objects.

In the next video we will see how to create new filters to edit the model’s information.
