In this video we explore the export capabilities of the model information in Kabandy.
The goal here is to have a detailed schedule in Excel with the information of the visible object in the whole federated model.
To do so, let’s start by isolating the doors we want to export.
From the model information sidesheet, we filter the doors category.
In our Excel export we would like to have the fire resistance information for every door.
Hence we activate the visibility of the corresponding filter in the black band.
Since there are a lot of information available in a model, only the visible filters will be exported.
When we click on the download button we have two options.
The first option allows you to export the Revit dimensions to compare the quantities.
The second option enables the export of the assemblies (such as curtain walls) or their components (plates, members, etc.).
Not both to avoid double counting.
In the Excel file we have the global identifier in the first column…
…the visible filters…
…and then the quantities calculated by Kabandy.
In order to visualize the corresponding objects in the viewer, we can copy-paste a list of identifiers in the viewer.
The filter to use is Global identifier.
In the next video we will see how to add data from the Excel file.
